Amnon Aloni 6 Dan
Instructor in Traditional Karate and israel Free Fighting sistem
World Traditional Karate Association
Sensei Amnon Aloni began his training in karate at the age of 14 years. Previously he had been an active gymnast working out with gym apparatus. Sensei Amnon has devoted more than 36 years to the study of and training in Karate – do, exemplifying the saying:
"Karate – do is for your entire life!"
Sensei Amnon commenced his Karate training in Kiryat Tivon, a small town located in the north of Israel, half way between Haifa and Nazareth, under the watchful eye of Sensei Bob Betwin. Later, Sensei Edmond Buzuglo, one of the most famous Karate coaches of those times and whose Karate method had a strong link to JKA, took responsibility for the continued training of Amnon. This interesting combination of Karate Okinawa under Sensei Bob and the Shotokan method of Sensei Edmond was particularly beneficial for Amnon. Furthermore, Sensei Edmond also brought together his well known Karate training to judo and jujitso. Sensei Amnon was thus able to internalize this combination into an all israeli free fighting sistem .
In 1974 Sensei Amnon traveled to the Grand Palace Hotel in Tokyo, Japan, in order to be tested by the top Japanese martial art instructors who included Sensei Nakyamana, Nashaima, Kaza, Okozaki, Kanazoya and Mori. Sensei Amnon passed the grading test
successfully and was awarded his first 1st Dan Black Belt.
In the 1970s Sensei Amnon improved his national and international professional standing in Karate by being selected as a member of the national Israeli Karate team that participated in the World Karate Championships held in Tokyo and in the European Karate Championships held in a number of European cities. Sensei Amnon gained first places in both the individual and team competitions during the National Israeli Karate Championships

In July, 1974, Amnon Aloni was awarded the Instructor's Certificate in Karate and Gymnastics with Apparatus by the Wingate Institute of Physical Education.
A major turning point in the career of Sensei Amnon Aloni occurred in Japan when Sensei Hiroshi Shirai approached him personally and indicated that he wanted Sensei Amnon to maintain regular contact with him (Sensei Hiroshi) while Sensei Amnon pursued his full time profession in Karate – do. This counsel from the foremost Karate – do instructor was accepted whole heartedly! Thus Sensei Amnon became the sole scholar of Sensei Shirai in Israel and this relationship has continued for over 30 years.

During the 1980s, Sensei Amnon made dynamic progress in developing Karate – do as a major martial art sport in Israel. He opened Karate clubs throughout Israel (Haifa, Tel Aviv, Kiryat Tivon, etc.) and also helped to reestablish and revive the Karate Federation of Israel. He was assisted in this objective by Sensei Shalom Avitan, Sensei Avi Blai'er, Sensei Yehuda Pantonovitch and Sensei Ronny Kluger.
Sensei Amnon was appointed to the Management Committee of the Karate Federation of Israel and was later selected as the official Coach of the National Israeli Karate Team which participated in various International Karate Championships. Sensei Amnon continues to advance everything that is associated with the Traditional Karate – do – Shotokan, either as the Coach of the National
Team or as a contestant.
While continuing his training with Sensei Hiroshi Shira'i in Italy, the latter introduced Sensei Amnon to his very close associate, Sensei Takeshi Nayto, also a senior Karate - do instructor. Within a short while, Sensei Nayto joined Sensei Hiroshi in training Sensei Amnon and their combined tutoring contributed to Sensei Amnon's extensive knowledge and experience in Karate - do. Since 1985 Sensei Hiroshi and Sensei Nayto visit Israel on a regular basis and undertake Karate - do training workshops with the local trainees. Sensei Amnon can take pride in the fact that to this day he is the only Israeli who can claim to be the Karate - do scholar of these two internationally famous instructors.
In the mid 1980s, the Karate world underwent a change and turned in the direction of Sport Karate. Understandably, Amnon, remaining committed to his principles and maintaining his membership of the Israeli Federation of Traditional Karate, continued his coaching in Traditional Karate. In the late 1980s Amnon became a member of the Management Committee of the Israeli Federation of Traditional Karate, a Chief Judge at championships, the Chairman of the Technical Committee and the Coach of the Israeli Traditional Karate National Team (ITKF).
For many years Amnon participated in World and European Traditional Karate Championships (ITKF), both as a contestant and as the Coach to the Israeli National Karate Team. In addition, many of his talented trainees gained first places in Israeli, European and World Karate, Kumita and Fokugo Championships
With the support and agreement of his Japanese mentors, Amnon established in the late 1980s the Shizendo Riyu. Since then Amnon has been coaching at his Central Club in Kiryat Tivon. Besides his coaching obligations in Israel, Amnon also travels overseas to undertake training assignments.
Amnon's driving force as an instructor is to transfer his exceptional knowledge in Karate, gained over many years from famous Japanese Karate tutors, to his dedicated trainees who are interested in learning everything about this sport. To achieve this goal, Amnon makes every effort to ensure that he is at all times available as the club's trainer to his students and trainees.
Men and women, young and old (from aged 5 until 75 years old) come from all over Israel to be coached by Sensei Amnon at the Central Club. Sensei Amnon affirms that any new member can find a suitable group or course in the club that meets his / her personal needs. The training hours are very flexible and members can train as often as they like. It is also possible to arrange private coaching.
During these years Sensei Amnon has coached a large number of students, many of whom have attained the Karate – do rankings from Shodan to Yundan. Numerous students have continued their training with Sensei Amnon over lengthy periods of time, advancing in their respective martial art rankings.
